Catering - Our Mission

We offer seasonal, naturally raised food, deliciously prepared and artfully presented. At least 50% of our ingredients come from within 150 miles of St. Louis, thereby reducing your event’s carbon footprint, and guaranteeing the freshest food available. Our specialty is serving fresh and seasonal foods. From vegetarian offerings to menus using free-range and grass-fed meats, we use only the highest quality ingredients. We take pride in supporting our local food system, including farmers, ranchers, and food artisans. Local Harvest Cafe & Catering will work with you to create your perfect event, and we will help make it “green” along the way.

Check out our catering menus here.

Event Rental

The cafe is available as an event space to be used in conjunction with our catering service or without it. It makes a great statement for the environmentally conscious business, and it is a comfortable gathering space for any small to mid-size meeting. About Local Harvest

It is our goal at Local Harvest Grocery to provide the highest quality food from the St Louis region in all of our departments. From grass-fed meats to fresh produce and baked goods and gourmet dry goods, we scour the region to find producers of quality, unique products. See a partial list of our local vendors here.

In addition, we also carry an extensive line of organic and sustainably produced groceries, including dry goods, perishables, frozen and non-food items.

In the mornings, stop in for a cup of locally roasted coffee, a Companion bagel with cream cheese or any number of our locally baked muffins, scones and other goodies.

We also have a deli and we use as many local ingredients as possible in all of our sandwiches, from the locally raised bison brisket sandwich (the Mo.Fo.) that we smoke in-house to the Skinnytown vegetarian sandwich topped with all local produce.

Stop in and say hello, and thank you all for your support!

We don't want to brag, but we do like to keep a list of awards we've won...

Local Harvest Grocery Wins Some Awards

In October, 2007 we won the Missouri Coalition for the Environment's Green Business Award. We won not only because of our local food philosophy, but also because we use compostable packaging and grocery bags, we use energy efficient lighting and we have a recyling and composting program at the store that reduces our landfill waste considerably.

In November, 2007, we received a Kick Ass award from 52nd City. Enough said!

Local Harvest Grocery wins Best Grocery Store in RFT's 2008 Best Of St Louis Issue

Excerpt: "When was the last time you saw a neighborhood grocery store that you wanted to visit? In a Norman Rockwell painting? The neighborhood grocery store might not be as dead and gone as the dodo, but it's close, squeezed out of our lives from the top (supermarket chains both local and national) and the bottom (7-Eleven and its nefarious clones). But in the past few years, a handful of astute entrepreneurs have realized that a neighborhood grocery store can provide something far more easily than either the big boys or the convenience stores can: the neighborhood."
