We are happy to announce the arrival of Windcrest Dairy Yogurt! Windcrest is the only farmstead in the midwest that makes yogurt from their own milk. The quality shines through in both their regular and Greek style yogurts available in plain, vanilla,
peach, raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry. We are grateful for a locally produced and high quality yogurt!
Product of the Week, June 27: Nicole's Crackers, Cookies, and Sauces from Chicago, Illinois
We've been big fans of Nicole's products for
several years now. They graced our shelves the first year we opened and they've been there ever since. A lot of our customers may not know, however, that several of their selections are both vegan and gluten-free, including four cracker varieties and all of their cookies. Also, we've branched out and added some of their delicious sauces, including an assortment of chutneys and two amazing dessert sauces, a decadent chocolate sauce and a butterscotch sauce. High quality products made in small batches, get to know Nicole's products the next time you stop in.
New Product of the Week, June 20: Kobe-Style Beef from Westphalia Vineyards
We are very excited about this new arrival! Priced substantially less than the $50/lb+ you can pay for true Kobe beef at some stores, ours starts at $6.49/lb. What we are carrying is Kobe-style in breed and diet only. The Wagyu steers at Westphalia (Westphalia, MO) aren't massaged and they are not confined, they roam the fields and eat grass. They are given used/fermented beer grains, though, as an appetite stimulant and stress reducer :-), and that adds to the fat content/marbling in the meat. Whether it's a burger or filet mignon, meat lovers won't want to miss this!

We made one of the best burgers we've had in a while with the Kobe-style ground beef (it went very well with grilled local radicchio and corn!)
